Partners and Management

David Logan
David is a 1980 graduate of the University of Ottawa who obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1983 with a national public accounting firm located in Ottawa. In 1988, he joined an existing public practice, which subsequently developed into Logan Katz LLP. David has a diverse client base which ranges from manufacturers, retailers, construction companies, in addition not-for-profit organizations. Over and above traditional accounting and audit functions, he also provides accounting software training and tax planning. David has also volunteered professional time to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario since 1989. Currently, David is a member of the Professional Conduct Committee and, on a volunteer basis, provides business expertise to new businesses at the Ottawa Entrepreneurship Centre.

Gary Katz
After graduating from McGill University, Gary obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1982 and is actively involved with owner/manager businesses and non-profit organizations of all sizes and complexity. Gary assists his clients with a wide range of services including audit and assurance, human resources, expense analysis, profitability analysis, succession, corporate financing, cash flow management, growth strategies, planning, strategic taxation matters, and business advisory services. He has been a volunteer with Kiwanis club of Rideau (Ottawa), Ottawa-Carleton Board of Trade, is a past Treasurer of Canadian Mothercraft and was a trustee of the Ottawa Civic Hospital.

Denis Chainé
Denis is a principal in the firm and has been with Logan Katz LLP since 1994. Denis obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1990 with a national public accounting firm located in Ottawa, following his studies at the University of Ottawa as well as at the l’Université du Québec à Hull. Denis acquired international accounting and auditing experience during a one-year work term in France. He has extensive experience with not-for-profit organizations as a result of his fourteen-year career. Denis served as Treasurer for the Association pour l’intégration communautaire de l’Outaouais, an organization that offers various services to people with intellectual disabilities and their families, from 1998 to 2004.

Jason Valente
Jason graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Highest Honours) in 1997. Immediately after graduation, he began his career in professional accounting at an international public accounting firm. He acquired his Chartered Accountant designation in 1999. In 2002, he joined Logan Katz LLP. He is responsible for providing audit, accounting, taxation and business advisory services to organizations of various sizes in many industries. He also has expertise in processing claims for scientific research and experimental development investment tax credits.

Brenda Valente
Brenda is a 1996 graduate of Carleton University, from which she obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours in Accounting. She went on to receive her Chartered Accountant designation in 2001. Brenda joined Logan Katz LLP in February 2005 and brings with her over six years of public accounting experience in the areas of accounting, audit, business advisory, as well as corporate and personal taxation.

Assurance Services

Anjali Dilawri
Anjali is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy and Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University. She has over 12 years of experience in the fields of financial analysis, accounting and audit. Anjali has been with Logan Katz LLP since February 2004, working on certification and tax engagements.

Stacy Glenn
Stacy holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Lakehead University and has been with Logan Katz LLP since 1999. He prepares audits, reviews and compilation engagements across many industries. He also prepares personal tax returns and provides computer accounting system assistance.

Li Kun Tang
Li Kun is a graduate of the Honours Bachelor of Commerce program, Specializing in Accounting, from the University of Ottawa. Having joined Logan Katz LLP in January 2006, Li Kun is eagerly building on her knowledge and experience, assisting with compilation engagements as well as bookkeeping services for corporations and small businesses. She is currently working towards obtaining her Chartered Accountant designation.

Non Assurance Services and Financial Reporting Services

Carmen Cambareri
Carmen has been working with Logan Katz LLP since 1994. She prepares compilation engagements and government filings, as well as providing bookkeeping services to many Logan Katz LLP clients. She has also set up accounting software for various clients and provides them with training and support.

Tanya Gillis
Tanya has been with Logan Katz LLP since November 2004 and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC Montreal Business School. She is fluent in both English and French and performs compilation engagements as well as bookkeeping services for corporations and small businesses. She is currently working towards obtaining her CMA designation.

Oscar De Leon
Oscar joined Logan Katz LLP in July 2004. He has been working in accounting and bookkeeping in Canada for over 10 years. He graduated with an Accounting degree and also took 4 years in auditing and public accounting at San Carlos University of Guatemala. He is responsible for performing compilation engagements and also provides bookkeeping services. Oscar is bilingual Spanish-English.

Judy Mulder
Judy has been working with Logan Katz LLP since March 2003 and offers a diverse background in banking, retail management, and financial management of a home based business. She performs compilation engagements as well as bookkeeping services for varous clients. As a Certified Pro Advisor for QuickBooks, Judy is available for individual and group training for both current and prospective clients.

Anthony Sarmiento
Anthony joined the Logan Katz LLP Financial Reporting Services Team in February 2005. Anthony is a graduate of the Professional Accounting diploma program of Algonguin College. He has previous experience in the banking, retail and service sectors. Anthony provides bookkeeping and government filing services for several Logan Katz LLP clients.

Wendy Taylor-King
Wendy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Saint Vincent University and has been with Logan Katz LLP since 1999. Her specialties include personal and corporate tax return preparation and notice to reader engagements. She also performs review engagements and prepares US personal and corporate tax filings.

Administrative Support

Kathy Grezaud
Kathy is Logan Katz's LLP Manager of Administration. She joined the firm in February 2003, and is responsible for supervising the office administration, assisting with recruiting and human resources, accounts receivable, quality control of financial statements and other administrative functions. Kathy has obtained the Registered Professional Recruiter accreditation with the Institute of Professional Management.

Lucille Levesque
Lucille has been with Logan Katz LLP since October 1999 and is our Office Administrator responsible for quality control of financial statements and other administrative functions, as well as superior client assistance.
