Dressing Down for Cancer
Every Friday in March and April Logan Katz will be "Dressing Down for Cancer" in support of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation (OCRF). If you stop by our office on a Friday, don't be surprised to see us in blue jeans. All donations from staff members go directly to the OCRF.
The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation
Logan Katz LLP will be donating their services to prepare tax returns on a complimentary basis for members of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation who require assistance. The event will take place Monday, March 26 in the therapy suites at the Maplesoft Centre.
This service is intended for those suffering from cancer who have little or no means to pay for someone to help with preparing tax returns. Because tax returns often must be prepared jointly, spouses and dependent children can also benefit from this service.
2012 Volunteer Tax Clinic
A big thank you to all our Logan Katz staff members who volunteered their time and services to assist low-income and senior residents of Ottawa to file their 2011 tax returns for the 15th consecutive year. The free clinic ran from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on March 15. Each preparer completed five tax returns on average at the Multi-Service Centre on Heron Road. Great work and we look forward to a 16th year.
Bon Appetit Ottawa
Nothing excites us more than participating in social events with great food, interesting individuals and a state-of-the-art venue. Except, of course, if we are doing all of the above while giving back to our community.
Bon Appetit Ottawa is an annual event that supports local charities that work towards hunger and poverty relief in the National Capital Region, with an emphasis on children and the elderly, which Logan Katz LLP is more than delighted to sponsor.
The event will take place May 1 at the new Capital Exhibition Centre located near the Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport. The food and wine show will host over 2000 individuals serving up gourmet culinary creations and spirits to match.

Regroupement des Gens d'Affaires
On Saturday, April 21, the Regroupement des Gens d'Affaires (RGA) is hosting its spectacular annual Gala of Excellence where awards of excellence will be given to local businesses and entrepreneurs. This is a glamorous, can't-miss event for all local business people, which will be held at the Congress Centre. Visit www.rga.ca to purchase your ticket. On Thursday, June 7, the Ottawa Art Gallery is hosting its exciting annual art extravaganza which features over 60 original works of art from some of the region's most talented visual and media artists.
